An Epic Adventure!
The Library Cube Challenge is a first-of-its-kind “hybrid” gaming adventure. It’s not just a digital game—it’s a call to action for patrons to explore your shelves, check out books, and prove their mastery of the stories inside. It bridges the gap between digital gaming and physical collections by turning your library’s books into keys that unlock a massive 3D trivia experience.
How the Challenge Works
It’s straightforward, immersive, and built to drive circulation.
- The Cubes: There are 4 massive digital Trivia Maze Cubes.
- The Faces: Each Cube has 6 maze faces—totaling 24 unique challenges.
- The Quest: To clear a single Cube, a patron must “run” all six faces.
- The Catch: To navigate a maze face, the player must use real trivia knowledge from books.
Read to Win: Patrons can choose from hundreds of eligible titles in your collection. Strategy and gaming skills will get them into the maze, but only the details found within the pages of your library’s books will get them out.

Why Libraries Love the Cube
- Boost Circulation: Unlike standard games, the Cube Challenge requires patrons to check out and read physical or digital books from your collection to progress.
- Multi-Generational Appeal: Combines the high-stakes strategy of gaming with the classic joy of book trivia.
- Flexible Collection Integration: The challenge works with hundreds of books you already own, making it a “plug-and-play” solution for your existing inventory.
- Small Community, Big Impact: Built by librarians, Library Arcade prioritizes powerful peer collaboration over profit. We cap state memberships to keep our network close-knit, supportive, and highly engaged. Because budget should never be a barrier, our tiered pricing scales to your population. Whether you run a single-room branch or a city-wide system, your library can afford to join the adventure—if space is still available in your state.

The Library Cube Challenge is straightforward! There are 4 massive Book Trivia Maze Cubes (each with 6 maze faces). To clear a single Cube, patrons must “run” all six maze faces, using a different library book for each face. To navigate their way through the maze faces, patrons must use strategy, gaming skills and book trivia knowledge related to the story details within the specific books borrowed.
