Because Library Arcade staff work closely with members during summer programming, membership is strictly limited to a small number of public libraries per state. If your library is looking for an innovative, highly engaging way to gamify your programming and captivate kids, tweens, and teens (ages 9–17), this is your invitation to secure your cohort membership and pioneer the future of summer reading.

How the Challenge Works

It’s straightforward, immersive, and built to drive circulation and encourage reading.

  • The Cubes: There are 5 massive digital Trivia Maze Cubes.
  • The Faces: Each Cube has 5 playable maze faces—totaling 25 unique challenges. The sixth (or bottom) nonplayable face serves as the base that holds the Cube.
  • The Quest: To clear a single Cube, a patron must “run” all five faces.
  • The Catch: To navigate a maze face, the player must use real trivia knowledge from books.

Read to Win: Patrons can choose from hundreds of eligible titles in your collection. Strategy and gaming skills will get them into the maze, but only the details found within the pages of your library’s books will get them out.

To clear this Cube, you must read 5 library books and use your knowledge to unlock gates, dodge maze ghosts, and rack up diamond points across these immersive 3D environments:

Take your journey global and navigate a complex grid of legendary structures and natural wonders! The Matrix Cube pushes your skills to the limit across 5 intricate, interconnected environments. To clear this Cube, you must read 5 library books and use your story insights to bypass question gates, evade maze ghosts, and collect diamond points:

Pick up your next 5 books, lock in your route, and crack the matrix! These are the mazes within the Matrix Cube:

Prepare to get lost in time, darkness, and danger! The Labyrinth Cube drops you into five of the most complex and mysterious maze structures ever built. To clear this Cube, you must read 5 library books and use your sharpest trivia knowledge to outmaneuver maze ghosts, pass question gates, and gather diamond points.

Buckle up, grab your books, and master the labyrinth! These are the mazes within the Labyrinth Cube:

Conquer extreme climates, ancient wonders, and untamed wilderness! The Nexus Cube pushes your navigation skills to the limit across 5 incredibly diverse landscapes. To clear this Cube, you must read 5 library books and prove your story mastery to pass question gates, evade maze ghosts, and claim your diamond points.

Pack your gear, pick your next 5 books, and conquer the nexus! These are the mazes within the Nexus Cube:

Take to the skies and brave the ultimate elements at the edge of the world! The Horizon Cube pushes your limits with high-elevation flights, extreme weather, and urban survival across 5 epic landscapes. To clear this Cube, you must read 5 library books and use your story trivia to unlock gates, dodge maze ghosts, and stack up diamond points.
